Chris Postema, LMSW

Chris is a native of Grand Rapids, MI, attending Grand Valley State University for both his undergraduate degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Social Work. Chris is also pursuing a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences, and teaches Social Work courses at Western Michigan University. Chris has 12 years of experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults. Chris has specialized training in the treatment of trauma and substance use. Chris has also worked in an inpatient hospital and as a foster care case manager.

Chris’ treatment modalities include: Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy.
